BEST MEDICAL GROUP
Facey Medical Group
When it comes to health care in the San Fernando & Santa Clarita Valley, few names are as familiar as Facey Medical Group. Made up of over 180 physicians in a wide variety of clinical specialties, they’ve built a reputation for providing connected, patient-centered care to generations of Southern California residents.
Improving care has always been a core belief for the group, from opening their first multispecialty clinic on Brand Boulevard in 1954 to being one of the region’s first adopters of electronic health records. They were quick to embrace digital radiology and lab reporting as a way to speed-up communication between every member of the health care team. The group chose to affiliate with Providence Health and Services in 2012 in order to coordinate care between clinics and Providence community hospitals quickly and effectively. And their flagship clinic in Mission Hills was the first medical office in Southern California over 100,000 square feet to be recognized with LEED Gold™ certification.
Physicians at Facey believe in patient-centered care. They have the distinction of being voted best medical group by readers of the Los Angeles Daily News and the Santa Clarita Signal every year since 2009. In addition, The California Association of Physician Groups recognizes the group as an “Elite Performer” in their Standards of Excellence program. It’s a distinction that the group works hard to maintain by looking for fresh ways to improve care for their patients.
Earlier this year, Facey opened the doors of a brand-new multispecialty office in the heart of Tarzana on Ventura Boulevard and upgraded a former Chase bank in Northridge to replace their 22 year-old clinic on the campus of Northridge Hospital. And this month, all Facey offices switched to the electronic health record system used at Providence hospitals in order to make outpatient and inpatient care more seamless than ever before. So what’s next? In 2018, they plan to open a larger, modern facility in Canyon Country to replace the clinic they’ve worked out of for the last 33 years.
“We’re working every day to improve the quality and speed of health care for our patients, as well as the overall experience,” says Dr. Fredrick Russo, the group’s president. “It’s a big honor to be recognized by the community as their favorite for so many years in a row. You affirm our efforts and encourage us to continue forward.”
