West Valley Occupational Center is an adult school under the direction of Los Angeles Unified School District. All classes are accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. Because we are a public institution, we offer adults an opportunity to start a new career, obtain a high school diploma and/or learn English at free or an affordable cost. Most career courses do not exceed $100 for a 10 to 18 week course. The exceptions include cosmetology, esthetician, manicuring, pharmacy technician, nursing assistant, electrician, solar energy and early childhood education. Our school has provided career training and education to residents of the San Fernando Valley since 1965. We are located at Winnetka and Victory and convenient to the Orange Line.
