ANNENBERG SCHOOL OF NURSING
NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR ALL PROGRAMS
The Annenberg School of Nursing, a program of the Los Angeles Jewish Home, offers three comprehensive nursing programs: Vocational Nurse, Nurse Assistant and Home Health Aide.
The thirteen-month Vocational Nurse (VN) program prepares students for the NCLEX-PN licensing examination. The curriculum includes classroom, skills lab instruction and clinical training. The program is approved by the Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians (BVNPT), and accredited by the Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES).
The Nurse Assistant (NA) course focuses on all aspects of care, and prepares students to take the California state certification examination. This program is Monday through Friday for 24 days.
A Home Health Aide (HHA) trains Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) to care for the elderly, disabled, chronically ill or cognitively impaired. Home Health Aides assist with activities such as bathing, dressing, light housekeeping and food preparation. The program is Monday through Friday, for a total of 40 hours.
Enrollment for the Vocational Nurse program is ongoing for the class of 2021. Enrollment for the Nurse Assistant and Home Health Aide programs are also ongoing.
The Annenberg School of Nursing is located at the Jewish Home’s Hirsch Family Campus in Reseda. All programs feature small class sizes, dedicated instructors and affordable tuition. In addition, interest-free deferred loans are available for those who qualify in the Vocational Nurse and Nurse Assistant programs and financial aid is available to those who qualify.
