Thank you, LA animal lovers! Best Friends Animal Society – Los Angeles is thrilled to be voted BEST Non-Profit for the fifth year in a row by Daily News readers.

Since launching in 2012, Best Friends’ NKLA (No Kill Los Angeles) initiative has increased the save rate from 57 percent to approximately 84 percent at Los Angeles Animal Services shelters. The NKLA Coalition currently includes 111 animal welfare organizations working together to make LA the nation’s largest no-kill by 2017.

“Volunteers, adopters, donors and fosters have been crucial to our success,” says Marc Peralta, executive director of Best Friends Animal Society – Los Angeles. “We hope you’ll join us to transform LA into NKLA.”

Looking for a new best friend? The Best Friends Pet Adoption & Spay/Neuter Center in Mission Hills and the NKLA Pet Adoption Center in West L.A. feature hundreds of fabulous dogs and cats of every age, size, and breed.
