Proud and excited over his restaurant’s win for BEST Breakfast, Chef Geovanni Euceda has plenty to smile about. As executive chef at the Horseless Carriage in North Hills, Euceda is happy to work for a man he describes as “the best and coolest boss I’ve ever had,” Bert Boeckmann, longtime owner of famous Galpin Ford. Located on the corner of Roscoe and Sepulveda, this classic-style diner sits next to (and is part of) one of the largest car dealerships in America and has been serving loyal customers since 1966.
Previously with the Beverly Hills Hotel, Euceda came to the Valley eatery in 2012, along with his entire mentored staff with whom he has worked for more than 15 years. Today, they proudly serve a rich mix of local regulars and customers from as far away as Palm Desert and beyond, who come for a taste of their top-quality cuisine served in a unique, warm and friendly atmosphere. While Horseless Carriage is loved especially for all-day breakfasts such as Lobster and Egg Scramble, Angus Top Sirloin Steak and Eggs, and Belgian Waffles, customers cherish the lunch and dinner menus too.
Everything is done in-house and made almost entirely from scratch. Vegetables are all garden fresh. The standards are gourmet right down the line, in service, presentation and quality. Says Euceda: “We’re excited about this Readers Choice win. We have a strong, solid team where customer satisfaction means everything.”
